Cool in Pink

pink glow on clouds

I just had to use this for today. On a quick run through the house I glanced out the window at the right time and saw the sun on this cloud. I'm not a big fan of pink, but in the right setting it is cool. And I mean cool in temperature. This is not a "hot" sunset, but really speaks of a cooler ending to the day. Cooler, of course, is relative. It's 76 instead of 86. I'll take it.

Tomorrow, you will meet David, another hiking buddy.

The clouds seem to emerge from a valcano.

That is a gorgeous picture. Glad you are having cool evenings. It is already hot here and the sun isn't even up yet.

Oh I just love it when the sky lights up. maybe that's the reason I am an earlier raiser. Next week I will be showcasing Sky views on my Garden sight. Have been taking lots of photos.

That is stunning Shark. Pink fiery skies do it for me every time.

A beautiful sky, cooler temperatures what more could you ask for.

i love anything pink, especially pink sky :) and 86 at sunset would mean very hot during the day so I will take the 76 too.

I'll watch out for pink sunsets from now on :)

Beautiful sunset, if 76 is cool for you then it's hot for me, living in Scotland we'd take any kind of sunshine.

That is just an excellent picture. It's so satisfying when you see something like this and the picture comes out good too. There have been so many times that I have taken a picture of something like this, but the picture just doesn't match up. This one came out beautifully.

Vanilla- OK! Come visit Michigan!

rainfield- oh, I like that... the idea of a volcano here.

Marg- well, I don't call 76 cool, but it feels better than the daytime.

Auntie E- I'll watch for your skies.

Jo- I was surprised that the top of the cloud was colored at sunset like that

Ann- I COULD ask for evenings below 70 degrees, but I won't belittle a lovely scene

betchai- I can accommodate pink for you occasionally!

Ivy- I was thinking to day that you are 12 hours different from me, so you are having lunch while I am typing this just before bed. Maybe you'll see pink tonight.

Ryan- Ah... maybe I can put Scotland on my list of possible places to move to if it continues to get hotter here.

Ratty- thanks... yes... I have a memory bank full of those missed shots. Memories are good, but I like the pictures too. lol

Hi wenn- good to see you

It is a beautiful picture, Shark. I like the variation in sunsets. I've certainly seen many hot, blazing tropical sunsets but the pink in this is quite nice. I've been warmer than usual, visiting my son and his new bride for three days in West Sacramento - the temperatures are about 20 degrees warmer than in my area, near the Pacific!

Carmen- that inland effect is real. We live 7 miles from Lake Michigan, and it's usually about 10 degrees warmer here than at the lake.

Beautiful image, well spotted! I love the soft pink on the clouds. We are getting red sunsets at the moment. Our temps are 30+ centigrade and rising.

Glynis- O whew... I don't think I could handle that. Too hot!
